Last Sunday Todd took the train up to Manchester from London to see his good friends Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs as they battled Chelsea in a vital EPL match. Todd of course watched the game from the players box at Old Trafford where he saw an exciting finish to a hard fought game when Robin Van Persie notched the equalizer late in injury time.
“It was a fantastic match,” said Todd. “And it is always great to get up here to see Wayne and Ryan, although it is strange to see Ryan firmly entrenched on the sideline (Ryan Giggs is now an assistant and no longer a player) it is still a thrill to be here supporting them. Although I told Giggys he looks old in that track suit! You remember they made the trek to London to see the film last year, so it is fair to say we have each other’s backs.”
“Anytime Todd can make it up here he is welcome,” added Wayne Rooney. “He has been a big supporter of ours for years and it was only fair to do the same for him when the band was in London. And the film is smashing. Can’t wait until it is on cable.”
The game was a hard fought match in which United had to stage a very late comeback when many in stands felt all was lost. “United never gives up,” said Todd. “It is why I will always support them. You know they were not pleased with the draw,”
A laughing Giggs added ‘never satisfied with draw,no never, unless of course you are down one in the fourth minute of injury time, then you are most pleased!”
Todd laughed as they shared a pint in the players lounge. “Giggsy can always crack me up, said Todd. “Great guys and glad I was here for this one.”
